Evening Glow

This painting was inspired by a photograph that I took of a turn in the steep road leading to our Nova Scotia summer home. The photograph was taken shortly after the house was built and the trees were a little smaller than they are at present. The light that day was unusual in that everything seemed to have a blue tone which is what caused me to use all the blues and violets that are prominent throughout the painting.
